About Dr. M. Babaiah
Dr. M. Babaiah is a nationally reputed Senior Radiation Oncologist, recognised as a pioneer who significantly shaped the landscape of cancer care, particularly in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. With over four decades of distinguished experience, he completed his MD in Radiotherapy from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Dr. Babaiah holds the distinction of being the first Radiation Oncologist in the twin states to introduce computerised treatment planning systems in the mid-80s. Furthermore, he was the first in South India to implement revolutionary technologies like Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). His relentless pursuit of superior technology led to the procurement of India’s first corporate setup RapidArc treatment technology in Hyderabad.
