Dr. Thiagarajan S is a world-renowned HPB and liver transplant surgeon, widely regarded as one of the leading liver transplant surgeons in India. With over 15 years of dedicated experience, he has personally performed more than 1,700 liver transplants and contributed to a cumulative team experience of over 3,500 procedures. His expertise spans the full spectrum of liver transplantation, including living donor, deceased donor, and complex paediatric liver transplants. An alumnus of Thanjavur Medical College and PGI Chandigarh, Dr. Thiagarajan is a pioneer in minimal access surgery, having trained in advanced robotics in South Korea. He is celebrated for numerous national and international ‘firsts’, including performing a transplant on the world’s smallest recipient (2.1 kg).
