Patient Success Stories & Testimonials
Vision Saved through Precision
- A patient diagnosed with a rare benign eye tumour was referred to Dr. Paul for radiation. Traditional surgery posed a risk to vision. Dr. Paul utilised high-precision Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT). The tumour regression was successful, and the patient retained full vision. The patient noted, "Dr. Paul’s expertise in ocular oncology is rare to find. He saved my sight."
Advanced Breast Cancer Care
- A young woman eligible for partial breast treatment opted for APBI (Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation) under Dr. Paul, utilizing techniques he mastered in Hungary. This reduced her treatment time significantly compared to conventional radiation. She shared, "Dr. Sayan explained the brachytherapy option clearly. The treatment was quick, and I could return to work much sooner than expected."
Compassionate Head & Neck Treatment
- An elderly patient with throat cancer underwent IMRT with Dr. Paul. The focus was on preserving swallowing function. The family appreciated his approach: "He is not just a top doctor in Kolkata but a kind human. He ensured my father had minimal side effects and could eat normally after treatment."
Treatment Approach & Philosophy
- Patient-Centred Care: Dr. Paul believes in "Individualised Precision." He understands that radiation plans must be tailored to the patient's anatomy to maximise cure rates while minimising toxicity. His academic background ensures that his patients receive treatments based on the latest global evidence.
- Technology & Innovation: Dr. Paul is an expert in leveraging cutting-edge technology such as Halcyon, Novalis Tx, and TrueBeam systems. He combines these with advanced techniques like RapidArc and IGRT to deliver sub-millimetre accuracy in tumour targeting, significantly reducing damage to healthy tissues.
