About Dr. Anupama Mane
Dr. Anupama Mane is a pioneering figure in breast cancer surgery in India, recognised as the first lady Breast Surgeon in Pune and among the initial few in the country to establish breast surgery as a distinct subspecialty within oncosurgery. With a strong foundation in general surgery and specialised training in Breast Oncosurgery from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Mane has further honed her skills through fellowships in Germany and the UK, focusing on interdisciplinary breast care and oncoplastic reconstructive techniques. She is passionately dedicated to improving breast cancer care, actively involved in spreading awareness, and is a founder member of “Breast Friends,” a support group for breast cancer patients. Dr. Mane is also the Director of Breast Care at the NAG Foundation, underscoring her commitment to comprehensive patient support and education.
