About Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh
Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh is a highly experienced and distinguished Surgical Oncologist and is renowned for his pioneering work and extensive expertise. His primary interests lie in thoracic (oesophageal and lung), head and neck, and breast cancer surgery. He is credited with starting the first Breast Center in Pune in 2004 and performing the first Sentinel Node Biopsy for breast cancer in Maharashtra. Dr. Deshmukh is known for his large series of oesophageal and lung cancer operations, including conservative lung surgery and thoracoscopic oesophageal resections, and for his cosmetically appropriate and functionally reconstructive approach to head and neck and breast cancer surgeries.
